I’m one of those people who always thought she’d end up working in a creative environment, but of course ended up in corporate. I’m even more surprised to that I enjoy working in the corporate world! There I said it, I do.
However, I do miss being creative. I miss making things, going to events and exhibitions, and generally doing all the things I haven’t seemed to get round to in the last few years.
2009 was a tough year for all of us, but even the recession had a slight silver lining. I didn’t work all the hours god sent as there simply wasn’t the need. This meant I was able to go to the odd exhibition after work, rummage around fabric shops, discover special hidden gems of parks, bars and restaurants. Even when at home, I found myself cooking more meals from scratch and becoming more thoughtful about interiors and gardening! I guess I was making the most of tightening my favorite vintage belt!
Whilst making the most of it I’ve discovered the brilliant world of blogging and decided I want a piece of the action. I’ve put together this page, with the intent of sharing snippets from events, fashion, lifestyle fixes, thrift tips and generally anything I find interesting. I’m hoping someone out there may find it interesting too!
I guess I’m getting my new year’s resolution in early, by having a space to fill with all the things I’m pledging to do/make/discover this year. Hope it doesn’t bore you to tears!
